I really enjoyed working in Flickr. It was amazing how many topics of pictures there were in the program, and the large number of items under each area. We are always looking for pictures on different topics to use in PowerPoint or Inspiration presentations. I would also like to add pictures, later.

Thing #4

There are so many ways I could utilize blogs in the library. I could have blogs to communicate with the kids in my book club, to inform teachers of specific units that are available with the help of the librarian, to privide teaching tips, update teachers and students about new books that are available.

Designing my avatar was so much fun! I can see why the kids enjoy playing with the program. It was so neat to attach it to my blog. It is fun going to seeeveryone else's avatars also.

Things #2

Being a lifelong learners is so important, especially as a librarian. I found out when getting my librarian certfication that an old dog can learn new tricks. My strength is "Using technology to your advantage," even if there were some bumps along the way. My weakest area is "View problems as a challenge."

What a great idea! The whole concept is exciting, and giving us time to get started is fantastic. I am glad you cut it down, but I cannot wait to get started. Setting up the blog was difficult, because I kept getting kicked off my search engine. I did get it to work finally, and the feeling of success was wonderful!
